The New Paranormal Initiation and ‘Bel-Marduk’ (Journal Post)

Right now throughout the world there are horrible conditions resulting from the breakdown of international diplomacy, the pandemic and for many decades people are accustomed as culturally traditional during leisure hours to focus on entertainment, instead of developing one's metaphysical, spiritual and cosmological understanding of life prior to making the eventual transition to the ascended realm of life / 'next state of existence' / or so-called 'other side.'

The documentary-style case study of my unexpected path to spiritual discovery, Testament, was published in 1997 along with the first installments of an original Internet follow-up book.  As with other experiencers of so-called 'paranormal phenomena,' my primary concern was attempting to simply communicate what had occurred to me.  The succession of events oriented me to the reality that each person is accompanied throughout life by an individual 'guide' as the personal representative/s of the omnipresent spiritual Force / Oneness.  Other words used to express such a helper are 'guardian angel' or 'control' spirit.  (Also available online are chapter articles about My Unexpected Path of Spiritual Discovery in a more usual autobiography format.)

After my phenomenal experiences, I left behind my financially lucrative movie publicity writing vocation for Paramount Pictures in Hollywood and dedicated myself to sharing what I'd learned with others by writing a book of transcribed Q&A interviews and my 'audio journal entries' spoken into the tape recorder.  A decision was also reached that whenever possible I would read other documented paranormal case chronologies throughout the ages to continue learning about metaphysical aspects of life and perhaps find correlations between my own experiences and other people who involved themselves with helping to expand the metaphysical understanding of other people.  In 2015 a series of articles was published looking back after two decades to reflect anew about my trip to Oklahoma to investigate a 'talking poltergeist' haunting that had commenced a new phase of my life.

I don't know anyone else who leads a life quite like mine, having became accustomed to life with an unseen Presence continuously interacting with me through unprecedented ways.  I've noticed people around me voicing spontaneous ideas in thematic patterns (suggesting an interactive Source of the ideas) and there are astonishing synchronicities all the time.  I have something in common with Socrates in my having an interactive 'Guide Spirit'/Guardian Angel (or the ancient word 'daemon' associated with an unseen Communicator).

The second version of the news release originally entitled "A New Paranormal Initiation to 'God' and 'The Devil' Is Chronicled by Mark Russell Bell" also had been "put on editorial hold" with required changes (5/18/22).  I decided to make the best of the situation with PRWeb in a way that wouldn't deny me 'freedom of speech.'  Amendment I of the U.S. Bill of Rights gives each person living in this country or 'paperwork principality'—which is in fact what every nation is from a spiritual perspective—freedom of speech, religion and of the press.  A new press release was submitted to this publicity platform of the PRWeb corporation offering a version of my other 2022 news release that was posted at my other blog on 1/9/22.  The new headline is "Testament 'A New Consciousness Bible' was Published 25 Years Ago in Los Angeles."  Today after speaking to a couple of editorial representatives on the telephone due to some type of technical glitch that had pushed my two summary sentences below a duplicate photo caption, everything went smoothly.  I resubmitted my news release and received an Email with a subject heading including the words "PRWeb Release Approval" and the news release will be distributed tomorrow morning.  

There's no mention of reincarnation and the ancient god-king-priest 'Bel-Marduk' in the news release; however, this is especially on my mind once again because of what is read in the blog article "The Ominous Supernatural Warning Messages of the 'virgin Mary' at Fatima and Garabandal" that I so quickly wrote and published yesterday (despite feeling some chronic fatigue) after being reminded of aspects of 'virgin Mary' supernatural appearance that I'd learned about many years ago.  In August 2000 I had the opportunity to better familiarize myself with the Veronica McDonald Lueken (for example: 1 / 2 PDF) "Seer of Bayside" case chronology through attending the "Southern California Regional Meeting In Honor Of Our Lady At Bayside" that was conducted in an auditorium of King Hall at Cal State LA (named in honor of Martin Luther King Jr).

I'd been sent the July 2000 bulletin of Our Lady's Workers.  There was information about the "Third Secret of Fatima" along with extensive theoretical speculation.  I'd made a file and placed the bulletin in a filing cabinet without considering it again until today after yesterday being confronted by some shocking things I'd forgotten.  The parallels are startling between this 'Bayside Prophecies' series of events with aspects of the two most well-known supernatural appearances of the 'virgin Mary' at Fatima and Garabandal.  The following excerpt from this bulletin provides an example.

 . . . the Third Secret of Fatima has not been released in its entirety.

 
Now we can understand the wisdom of Our Lady's words on June 18, 1986, when she asked us to write to the Pope and "plead with him to have Lucy come forward . . ."

 
Testament includes a description of what happened at an antique store near my home where I obtained some curious Egyptian artifacts.  One of them was a round silver pendant bearing the countenance in profile of an ancient Egyptian who distinctly resembled me. 

The more I studied it, the more convinced I became that this could only be some relic related to 'Bel-Marduk' as my individual ancient incarnation remained an important issue for me to consider.  I learned at the Philosophical Research Society here in Los Angeles that there was a period when replicas were created in Italy of Egyptian artifacts.  I’ve never seen any other object—Egyptian or otherwise—that has reminded me of the way I once looked during my younger years as does the ‘round silver pendant’ I'd purchased at a Sunset Boulevard antique store in the vicinity of my Echo Park condo.  For readers unfamiliar with these details of my 'paranormal case chronology' in regard to 'Bel-Marduk' I'll repeat them in this article. 
 
As chronicled in Testament, one day I decided to search through my books for elucidating information about the life of Jesus Christ.  I found nothing compelling until I scanned the index of my hardcover edition of Zecharia Sitchin’s The Wars of Gods and Men (1985) and found that after the name Jesus, page 224 was listed.  I turned to that page and found the paragraph mentioning Jesus.  I read the sentence and was astonished at what it said.
 

. . . When Stephen Langdon included an English translation in his 1923 volume on the Mesopotamian New Year Mystery Texts, he titled the text The Death and Resurrection of Bel-Marduk and highlighted its parallels to the New Testament tale of the death and resurrection of Jesus.

 
Bel-Marduk?  Here was a similarity with my new Mark Russell Bell pen name.
 

But, as the text relates, Marduk or Bel (“The Lord”) did not die; he was indeed incarcerated inside The Mountain as in a tomb; but he was entombed alive.

 
I then read the information prior to the mention of Jesus.
 

The record of Marduk’s entombment, alive, within the Great Pyramid has been preserved on clay tablets found in the ruins of Ashur and Nineveh, the ancient Assyrian capitals.  The Ashur text suggests that it had served as a script for a New Year’s mystery Play in Babylon that reenacted the god’s suffering and reprieve.  But neither the original Babylonian version, nor the Sumerian historical text on which the script was based, have so far been found.  (In September 2021 I published my complete autobiographical play Lunar Son Tarot in a Metaphysical Articles blog post.)

 
Heinrich Zimmern, who transcribed and translated the Ashur text from clay tablets in the Berlin Museum, created quite a stir in theological circles when he announced its interpretation at a lecture in September 1921.  The reason was that he interpreted it as a pre-Christian Mysterium dealing with the death and resurrection of a god . . . and highlighted its parallels to . . . the death and resurrection of Jesus.

 
I skimmed through the mentions of Marduk throughout the book but the details seemed vague and interpretative.  One tablet mentioned a 24-year exile for Marduk that concluded in 'Hatti-land' (or Hittite lands).  It seemed most of what Sitchin related was expressing his own mentality or imagination.  I had first discovered the author on the book shelves of the local bookstore 'The Bodhi Tree.'  The book cover of Sitchin's first book The 12th Planet (1976) presents the description: "For the first time, proof that establishes where, when, how, and why astronauts from another planet settled the earth and created Homo sapiens."
 
I admired Sitchin’s The Earth Chronicles book series for attempting to prove the premise described on the inside front cover of a 1992 edition of The Wars of Gods and Men:
 

The Earth Chronicles series is based on the premise that mythology is not fanciful but the repository of ancient memories; that the Bible ought to be read literally as a historic / scientific document; and that ancient civilizations—older and greater than assumed—were the product of knowledge brought to Earth by the Anunnaki, “Those Who from Heaven to Earth Came.”

 
Since the eventful year of 1995, I would study Sitchin’s work occasionally and one revealing aspect appeared to be that he correlated Bel-Marduk, ‘Bel’ signifying “The Lord,” with Egypt’s Amun-Ra/Amen-Ra.
 

And what of the rescued Prisoner of the pyramid?

Mesopotamian texts relate that he went into exile; in Egypt Ra acquired the epithet Amen, “The Hidden One.”  (So did I metaphorically as an author as the result of my publishing Testament.)

 
In Sitchin’s The Stairway to Heaven, the Egyptian lore includes ‘the Amen-Ta’ (‘the Hidden Place’).  After reading about 'Bel-Marduk'; 'Amen-Ra'/'Amun-Ra'; and 'Ra-Ta' (1, 2)—as channeled by Edgar Cayce in an hypnotic trance: "the priest who gave the entrance into the Holy of Holies to the king and then gave the rule to people, falling in disfavor and banished by king"—my conclusion became that if I was the reincarnation of someone even if only metaphorically, it could only be this Bel-Marduk.  There was an obvious parallel with the mountain logo seen at the beginning of each Paramount movie I'd helped publicize.  Similar to Bel being trapped in the mountain, my talents had been used to serve the corporate entertainment principality of Paramount Pictures for more than seven and a half years.
 
Zecharia Sitchin includes his perspective of a "great Disaster" that Marduk wasn't able to prevent.  The Wars of Gods and Men deals in great depth with what the author believed to have been an ancient nuclear holocaust.  This has been one of the main considerations for sharing my experiences with others throughout the last 26 years.
