Paranormal Case Chronologies Mentioned in My Own Case Study Book

 
Last Thursday preceding the hottest weekend of the year here in Los Angeles, this blogger glanced through the documentary-style nonfiction case study Testament again.  The paperback copy is even more unusual than the noncommercial Internet edition because of all the 'spirit messages' (or what I eventually learned to be known categorically as  'Electronic Voice Phenomena'/'EVP') and unattributed sound symbols included in the transcripts.  The symbols weren't used in the Internet edition due to html limitations at the time.  As my longtime readers are aware, for several years after my 'paranormal initiation' I was utilizing recorded audio (microcassette tape) journals in order to maintain a record of my experiences and this usually entailed my spontaneously saying whatever was the first thought that came into my mind.

As with many other authors, usually I’m very quiet and introverted but to analyze and talk about the experiences chronicled in Testament—that I knew could be upsetting to certain people with rigid fundamentalist orientations to what they've been taught about spiritual and metaphysical aspects of being—I found myself assuming a bantering yet aloof manner in situations that made me nervous.  Admittedly, there is a glib superficiality with some of these occasions yet if I'd said nothing there would be no record of experiences with many circumstances and events possibly forgotten.  Sometimes because of this I would exaggerate my emotions so that later I would be able to remember what emotion to associate with whatever was happening at the time.  Since August 25 of last year, this blogger has been writing about 'My Unexpected Path of Spiritual Discovery.'

The period documented in the book was not a time of book research beyond occasionally trying to find some particular data among the books in my bookcases that might relate to some quandary that arose.  I decided to include the description from the book jacket of a 1974 facsimile edition of the 1659 book A True & Faithful Relation of What passed for many Yeers Between Dr. John Dee (A Mathematician of Great Fame in Q. Eliz. And King James their Reignes) and Some Spirits: Tending (had it Suceeded) To a General Alteration of most STATES and KINGDOMS in the World.  The complete excerpt included one commercially calculated sentence as I judged that the reader by this point in Testament would recognize the superstition: "Whether these manifestations and apparitions were the work of beneficent powers or whether they were the snares of Devils, is a matter for conjecture."  Years later, I had time to closely study the book and a rough draft 'case profile' chapter about John Dee and his crystal ball 'scryers' was included in my planned autobiography first draft completed in 2011.

The description from the book jacket of this volume included:

Elizabethan England’s leading Philosopher and Scholar, Dr. Dee records his efforts through the use of his Occult powers, to aid humanity by bringing peace and reconciliation to a Europe torn by war and religious intolerance.  He and his medium journeyed through 16th century Europe to Bohemia, meeting leading political figures including the King of Poland and the Holy Roman Emperor Rudolph II.  Throughout their journey the two partners called upon the guidance and help of the spirits and we learn how these spirits were summoned, the help and advice they gave, and the commands that they had for Dee.

Blog articles about John Dee (1527-1609) include "Some Further Observations about the 'Michael' Pattern", "In Comparison: Pearl Curran, 'Miss Beauchamp,' John Dee and Edward Kelly", "John Dee and Edward Kelly's Visitor from the Ascended Realm" and "Unknown Places of the Earth . . .".

The prophetic quatrains of Nostradamus (1503-1556) are also intermittently mentioned in Testament and years later I discovered a letter written by Michel de Nostredame found by a biographer that provides evidence of the paranormal aspects of the case.  Nostradamus wrote in the letter as translated to English by Peter Lemesurier: 

Accept therefore that for nine nights in succession I have sat from midnight until about four o'clock both with my brow crowned with laurel and wearing the [ring with its] sky-blue stone and, as it were on the [prophetic] tripod, have wrung out of that good spirit [everything I can] about your ring.  Therefore, having plucked a swan's quill (for he thrice refused a goose one), and with the spirit dictating to me, as though carried away by a poetic frenzy I launched myself into the following verses . . .
 

Turning now to our own good spirit in person, and excellent in every point, I prayed that for the sake of his most faithful Achates [i.e. friend and follower] Francisco Berardo, an alchemist who succeeds admirably in the transmutation of metals and is a supreme investigator of them, he might teach me how and in what manner he might bring forth ELICIUM and gold and purify pyrites, which we call emery.  Thus I, laurel boughs having been laid upon the pillow, and my head girt with a crown of laurel and daphnoides which we call periwinkle:

"Angel who art my guardian and who guideth me in piety, grant that on matters touching the transformation of natural substances I may prophesy as on the brazen tripod, according to the courses of the stars.  Grant these things, I beseech thee, through the friendly silences of the moon, and through these shades as Mars shines at his rising.  Grant them, I say, for the sake of the most good Christ and his Holy Virgin Mother, and of Michael the Archangel my invincible patron. . . ."

 
In the book some attention is given to the 'MABUS' anagram.  The purpose of this was to address common fear-oriented orientations noticed to as being commercialized in society concerning anomalous occurrences from the perspective of an author/journalist dealing with the subject of personal initiation to expanded consciousness concerning metaphysical, spiritual and cosmological aspects of being.  A reader knowledgeable about the annals of transcendental communication will understand how people ignorant about this subject may have no perception about the profundity of what they are missing.  The diverse predicaments of individual metaphysical awareness or ignorance is one way of considering how each individual human being is creating his or her own 'reality' during Earth life while in some ways being influenced by the diverse efforts of other people promulgating what each individually values as what is most relevant.

As mentioned in a 2017 article by this blogger — Providing transcendental communication quotations and other data relating to life on Earth as well as the ascended realm, the authentic metaphysical/'paranormal' case studies and other nonfiction books selected as topics offer 'good news' with inspiring evidence about the continuation of life beyond the Earth journey with a benevolent "omni-dimensional" God/all-knowing "All That Is" (using some words articulated by Lazaris through channeler Jach Pursel) with Love ultimately constituting the highest truth.  Earth is a place to learn how to live and be responsible in our decisions to live in a manner that is beneficial for other people and our planet and thus harmoniously with 'God,' Who after all is one's truest 'soulmate.'  Even after the most horrible disaster or illness, a human being continues to gain new experiences in the ascended realm of life.

Previous blog articles are about the 'talking poltergeist' case chronologies mentioned in Testament Q&A and journal transcripts comprising the case study book.  Once when the tape recorder wasn't on, the Oklahoma mother Maxine mentioned somebody had brought the nonfiction paranormal case study book Messages from Michael (1979) to her attention as she and her family also were dealing with an entity by that name.  At that time, I wasn't enthusiastic about giving my attention to some commercial data source beyond the specifics of the case at hand.  When I did eventually refer to the book, what was chronicled was found to corroborate all that had developed in my personal life since my return to Los Angeles.  I discovered that 'the Michael Pattern' and 'the Bell Pattern' interlink the famous cases of transcendental communication.

It was my brother's PR firm coworker Chris who generously gifted me with copies of the newly released Michael for the Millennium (1995) along with a redesigned trade paperback edition of Messages from Michael and a copy of the channeled book Emmanuel's Book (1985) compiled by Pat Rodegast and Judith Stanton.  The cover for Michael for the Millennium reminded me of some of the anecdotes told to me by the Oklahoma family.  The first book in the series includes an introductory note mentioning: "The following material has been compiled from the manuscripts of literally thousands of hours of mediumship dictation beginning almost a decade ago."

In the first chapter of the first book of the series by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro published in 1979, the 'Messages from Michael' case includes such statements (all in capital letters) as:

THE LAST NAME A FRAGMENT OF THIS ENTITY USED WAS MICHAEL.


EACH SOUL IS PART OF A LARGER BODY, AN ENTITY.


WE ARE NOT THE PATH.  WE ARE AN ANCIENT ENTITY THAT COMES TO ALL WHO ASK.  OUR PURPOSE IS TO TEACH SOME UNDERSTANDING OF THE EVOLUTION OF THE PHYSICAL PLANE . . .


UNDERSTANDING OCCURS WHEN THE STUDENT CAN GO ON TO AGAPE [the Greek concept of selfless and nonsexually expressed unconditional love], WHICH IS THE GOAL.


WE PREFER NOT TO USE THE WORD GOD IN SPEAKING OF THE ULTIMATE CREATIVE FORCE OF THE UNIVERSE.


FOR OUR PURPOSES WE SHALL CALL THIS CONSTANT CREATIVE FORCE THE TAO, FOR IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE WESTERN MIND TO CONSTRUCT ANY VISUAL IMAGE AROUND THIS WORD.


THIS ENTITY PERCEIVES ITSELF AS A PART OF THE GREATER WHOLE THAT IS THE ONENESS.  THIS ENTITY ALSO PERCEIVES ALL OF ITS FRAGMENTS MAKING UP THE WHOLE, MUCH AS YOU PERCEIVE THE INDIVIDUAL PARTS OF THE ANATOMIC STRUCTURE.


MAN HAS ALWAYS ENDEAVORED THROUGH THE CREATION OF CHAOS, OR OF A CHAOTIC SYSTEM (THEY'RE ONE AND THE SAME), TO CREATE THE ILLUSION OF COMPLEXITY WHICH EXISTS ON THE PHYSICAL PLANE.


WE NOW HAVE ACCESS TO ETERNITY.

Passages that were challenging or disturbing in some way to place in perspective at the time no longer are for me at present, due to my having gone on to become familiar with so many transcendental communication case chronologies.  Specific words or ways of stating a metaphysical perspective may show variations due to an entity's specific experiences while correlating in other ways with the gamut of what is found articulated among many other case chronologies.

Beyond the talking poltergeist cases, not many cases are mentioned during the period in my life chronicled in Testament as my focus was on recording my own experiences while transcribing interviews and journals for book publication.  My only common reading intervals were usually when I was on an exercise bicycle at the gym preceding my workout several times each week — first at the Hollywood Bally's and then after moving to Santa Monica at the Brentwood fitness club.  As recounted in the book, the first 'channeled book' that I purchased was Love's Awakening (1987) by Dhara Star Zyir with Marilyn Painter.  The cover of the book seemed to convey how I felt as an individual who'd experienced all that I had in relation to an omnipresent spiritual Force manifesting around me in myriad ways.

When I mentioned the book to my friend Fiona at a restaurant one afternoon, she told me about a channeled book that had become popular with readers: Mary's Message to the World (1994).
 

F: It’s a wonderful book but, basically, this housewife in the Midwest started channeling the Virgin Mary.  At first, she thought she was having delusions and then she started to get very scared of it and basically said to her when she realized it was the Virgin Mary, “Look, I’m not Catholic.  I don’t believe in you.  Why don’t you talk to someone Catholic who does?”  And Mary said to her, “Well I’m not Catholic either.”  And this housewife realized that the Virgin Mary had a wonderful sense of humor so she wrote this incredible book.  The woman’s name is Annie Kirkwood and she channeled the Virgin Mary through a series of months where she was given messages about what is coming up for the planet.  I really believe a lot of the prophecies.

As I was currently exploring psychotherapy with Dr. Judith Orloff, Love's Awakening became a topic of one of our sessions.  (Tape #18, Side #1)   As Judith has psychic abilities, there were many intriguing aspects of her interaction.  The Tape #18 transcript shows that it was Judith who first recommended that I start attending lectures at the Philosophical Research Society.  A poster of the poem "Desiderata" was on prominent display in her lobby — the title ending in the letter sequence 'Ra-Ta' found in the Edgar Cayce channeled reading transcripts.  When I decided to include the poem in Testament,  a "standard fee" of $500 was paid to copyright holder Robert L. Bell although it was later discovered that a judge had established the poem to have entered the public domain.  Judith also brought my attention to an article in The New Yorker: "Double Mystery" about identical twins.

After the sessions with Judith concluded, I participated in a series of sessions with an insightful hypnotherapist from England named David Botsford.  Something mentioned in Testament is that I learned not all people actually enter into a trance state during hypnosis sessions so for myself and many others these intervals may be a time for concentrating in a state of relaxation without there being any obvious trance.  During one session with David, after talking about my life being 'single' throughout my life I asked something and upon glancing toward him saw that he himself was now in a trance with his eyes fluttering and upturned, the whites of his eyes showing.

Although not including any information about the life of the author, an evidently channeled short book by Jacob Beilhart was also selected for quotation in Testament.

Thus man grew into darkness until he knew Me not.  But this was all good, for I was to come to him in a higher consciousness.  So I revealed Myself to him gradually as he was capable of receiving Me: at first, only where he believed things were very clean and good.  Then I would increase My visits, and appoint more places where he and I would visit, until the mind of man grew and saw Me in many things.  But of course he interpreted Me according to his highest conception, which was not I at all, for he thought I was a divided God; and loved only a few good people and favored them.

But the Light of My Presence changed his conscious mind until the ability of the race was such as could produce a man who could see Me as I am; and he saw Me in all things.  To him I appeared in My real nature — or rather, he interpreted Me as I am.

Now this is history, and does not concern you except as it serves to illustrate your own individual experience.

You will gradually let more and more of Me into the chambers of your conscious thoughts until you come to the point in your conscious growth where you will be able to interpret Me as I am.  Then you will not have a thought but you will make Me a companion with you in that thought.  And if I am in the thought, you will not act or speak in a way that is not in accord with the Law of Life.  So harmony alone can exist for you in all parts of your body and mind.

Until you see me in all things, you do not see Me at all; but only see your imagination of Me.  And this is only an image of your own creation, and has no life with which to bless you, or give you harmony.

The French novelist Victor Hugo's experiences of transcendental communication is chronicled in Chez Victor Hugo: Les Tables Tournantes de Jersey [1923].  I selected a translated passage attributed to Shakespeare's spirit from the chapter about the case in They Knew the Unknown  (1971) by Martin Ebon.  A blog article about the case is "From the Next State: 'Galileo' and 'Sir Isaac Newton'".

I saw Cervantes once.  He greeted me and spoke to me thus: Poet, what do you think of Don Quixote? and Moliere, who was passing by, said: He is the same man as Don Juan.  And I said: He is the same man as Hamlet.  Don Quixote doubts, Hamlet doubts.  Don Quixote seeks, Don Juan seeks, Hamlet seeks.  Don Quixote weeps, Don Juan laughs, Hamlet smiles, all three suffer.  In the skull Hamlet holds in his hand, there is your tear, O Cervantes; there is your laughter, O Molière.  The skeleton of doubt grimaces beneath the beauty of all three of our works.  We created the drama, God finishes it.  Look at the sky: it is the final act.  The tombstone which opens our souls is the curtain rising on the dénoument.  Applaud, Cervantes!  Applaud, Molière!  Applaud, Shakespeare!  God is making His entrance upon the stage.
