Excerpts from Ryuho Okawa's Spiritual Interviews

This article is the second part of "Channeling — Discovering Our Divinity with Ryuho Okawa".  Some representative excerpts are featured from six books presenting transcripts of channeling sessions of Ryuho Okawa in chronological order.  The name of each 'channeled entity' is identified and is followed by some selected excerpts from the spiritual interview transcripts.  I've replaced interviewer names with 'Q' or 'interviewer.'  The date of the channeling session is specified after each communicator heading.

The 'Margaret Thatcher' interview took place only 19 hours after her passing.  The session began with calls for her husband and confusion expressed about the circumstances, estimating the interviewers to be a hotel waiter and bellboy.  As with some of the other Spiritual Interview transcripts such as that of 'Bruce Lee' and 'Princess Diana,' the manifesting personality seems uncertain about the precise details of what resulted with the physical demise on Earth.

During the spiritual interview with Bruce Lee, it is mentioned that "I am a friend of Ryoma Sakamoto."  The book identifies this named individual as "a revolutionary from a period before the Meiji Restoration who was from the Tosa clan."  Ryoma Sakamoto was mentioned during a 2013 lecture by Ryuho as someone who caused a lot of trouble for his family but was an example of men who "probably sensed the shadow of eternal Truth and found their own answers to the question, 'What actions must I take, in the light of this eternal Truth?'"  (The Basic Teachings of Happy Science 2014).

Concerning the quotes from 'Stephen Hawking' from the April 4, 2018 session, seven years earlier Ryuho had conducted a session where he called upon 'the alien soul that resides within the consciousness of Professor Stephen Hawking . . . [to] tell us your opinions about  UFOs and aliens."  An illustration of a "Minor Centaurian" alien with green/gray skin, large vertically oblong eyes and antennae is included in the book of the transcript that was published, Alien Invasion: Can We Defend Earth? (2015).  The topics that resulted include fearful orientations found in commercial UFOlogy books of the period, such as a potential attack upon Earth people by a Legion of carnivorous aliens, a "Galactic Federation," "Reptilian" and "mantis-type alien" (subspecies), people being "implanted" and "abducted," "greys," etc.  When an interviewer commented, "You have depicted a bit of a  bleak future," the response is given: "It's because I'm sick . . ."  Ryuho recalled a 2011 spiritual interview with 'Laozi' when "the interviewer was at a complete loss as Laozi denied everything the interviewers said.  The morning's session was a similar situation."  Ryuho reminded following the next spiritual interview: "During this morning's recording, I placed a spirit into my body and had him talk through me, but the contents of what they say are completely different according to each spirit."

A book 'opening comment' from Ryuho Okawa regarding the 2018 interview with 'Dr. Stephen Hawking" is: "Today, suddenly, I met the spirit of the world famous Dr. Stephen Hawking.  It was at midday, just two and a half hours ago, so I have not made any preparation for his invitation and for his theoretical speech.  But this is the reality.  So we must try to get some spiritual instructions from him."

Activities of Happy Science are identified as being based on the 'Principles of Happiness':

Love teaches us to give ourselves freely without expecting anything in return; it encourages giving, nurturing, and forgiving.

Wisdom leads us to the insights of spiritual truths, and opens us to the true meaning of life and the will of God (the universe, the highest power, Buddha).

Self-Reflection brings a mindful, nonjudgmental lens to our thoughts and actions to help us find our truest selves—the essence of our souls—and deepen our connection to the highest power.  It helps us attain a clean and peaceful mind and leads us to the right life path.

Progress emphasizes the positive, dynamic aspects of our spiritual growth — actions we can take to manifest and spread happiness around the world.  It's a path that not only expands our soul growth, but also furthers the collective potential of the world we live in.

The following passages of spiritual interview transcripts are from the Ryuho Okawa books In Love with the Sun (2014), Margaret Thatcher's Miraculous Message (2013), Was Dropping the Atomic Bombs a Crime Against Humanity? (2014), Spiritual Messages from the Guardian Spirit of Ryuho Okawa (2014), Spiritual Interview with Bruce Lee (2017) and A Brief History of a Physicist's Soul (2018).

Gaia (January 2, 2013)

I was there from the beginning.
I don't know why or how, but I just existed.
For some reason I was there from the beginning.
I was not a "created being."
I was already there with Alpha.

So, while there may have been moments when I was incarnated or took on a physical body out of necessity, I am not an existence that has gone through reincarnation as a space being.

I was the energy flowing in the cosmic tree. If it is difficult for you to conceive of me as a body of energy, you can think of me as being like the tree sap.

Alpha could be described as being like a juggler who juggles time and space.

In the past, people understood that the ways of the physical world are just temporary means for spiritual training.

In the age of Elohim, there were major space wars and a kind of nuclear war broke out on Earth.

Atheism and materialism are infecting Earth like a malignant virus.  Looking at this state with a spiritual eye from the universe, the current state of Earth is like "cheese covered with mold."  The modern age holds a sense of crisis in that we must do something to remove the mold on the surface of the cheese.

Even Christians are gradually losing faith in God and there are so many atheists who claim to be Buddhists.  Science has made great advancements in the past 200 to 300 years, but there are many scientists and doctors who do not believe in the existence of a soul or God.

The wrong part of "prosperity" is actually causing evil to spread on Earth.  When the level of evil surpasses a certain amount, from the perspective of belligerent alien species, Earth would appear like a safari park with the permission to hunt.  On a cosmic scale, this situation could allow alien species to be granted a permission to hunt or destroy around 10 billion evil Earth people.  In order to prevent this from happening, El Cantare is proceeding with the purification process.

You all may think we are far from reaching the goal.
However,
A great start to a mental revolution,
A spirituality revolution,
Or a spiritual revolution,
Has been approaching.
It shall surely happen
Within the next 10 years.

Margaret Thatcher (April 9, 2013)

It's very strange.  It's hot, hot, very hot.

Q: You had passed away last night.

Thatcher: Huh?  Passed away?  Who?

Q: Actually, you —

Thatcher: You?  Me?

Q: In other words, you died.

Thatcher: [Laughs.] Oh, no, no, no, no.  You are joking.  I'm an old lady, so don't say such evil things.

[minutes later]
Q: You are still the Iron Lady?

Thatcher: Yes, the Iron Lady.  So, I'm not so kind and I have a short temper.  I'm sorry.  I get angry very quickly.  So, I'm not just the Iron Lady, but the Hot Iron Lady is the correct explanation or expression.  [Lightly pounds on the table. She regains clarity of mind.]  Oh, OK!  OK!  OK!

[Three of the four interviewers give short comments: "Nice. Good!"; "Excellent."; and "Here we go."]

Thatcher: Come on.

[Smiles and points at the interviewers.] The opposition party, bring it on!

[upon being asked for advice regarding island disputes and national security issues]  Why don't you fight?

Q: Oh, is that your answer?

Thatcher: Just fight.

Q: Just fight?

Thatcher: Fight!  Fight!  Fight!

[regarding a potential invasion from China]
Thatcher: Oh no.  They are bad, very bad!  Please, attack them.

Q: Attack them?

Thatcher: Attack!  Hmm.  As soon as possible!

Q: Even a preemptive strike is necessary?

Thatcher: If you felt some sort of fear of invasion from them, you must attack, of course.

Q: You were able to revive the British economy, so my question is . . .

Thatcher: I succeeded and failed.  I couldn't understand the European Union.  I don't like such kind of economic communities.  We need sovereignty regarding our currency-issuing rights.  I think it is very important for independent countries.  More than ten or twenty countries joined the European Union.

Q: Do you know the name of your guardian spirit?  Could you tell me the name of your guardian spirit?

Thatcher: St. Michael.

He is St. Michael.  The great archangel, St. Michael.  He is Mi-ka-e-ru in Japanese.  He was guiding me.

Q: In fact, a few years ago, we tried to call your guardian spirit here.

Thatcher: Yes.  You're right.

Q: Yeah, we called you here, and at that time you hinted to us that you were once born in Germany.

Thatcher: Germany?

Q: Germany.  You said so.  Could you tell me your name when you were born in Germany?

Thatcher: Bismarck.

Q: Oh, right!  The Iron Lady and the Iron Chancellor, Bismarck.

Thatcher: Yes.

Harry S. Truman (June 3, 2013)

During the war, Japan, to us, was a hateful enemy, and we believed that we should use whatever tools were available to defeat your country.  But I lived for many years after the war and then passed on to the next world, and there, I began to feel strongly that we shouldn't have dropped those bombs.

Q: So why did you drop two bombs on us?

Truman: Because we had to test two slightly different models.

Q: But how could you drop the bombs while knowing that several hundred thousand Japanese people would die?

Truman: The same number of people would have died if we had fought a ground war on the Japanese mainland. I am very sorry about what happened . . .

Q: But you should remember that the Potsdam Declaration was issued on July 26 and reached Japan on July 27.  Japan was prepared to accept it and surrender, with the Soviets serving as mediators.

Truman: Yes, that's right.

Q: You knew that, right?

Truman: I did, yes
.

But even if Japan said that they were ready to accept the Potsdam Declaration, look at what happened during the Meiji Restoration.  Uprisings and fightings continued well after the new government was formed.  So even if we had sent occupying forces to Japan, I'm sure that there would have been guerilla warfare for some time afterward.

Q: And then you lived comfortably after the war.

Truman: I didn't live comfortably at all; I lived in a lot of anguish
.

Q: Are the victims of the atomic bombings with you [in the other world]?

Truman: No, none at all.  Definitely not
.

Q: Does it suffice to say that you accept full responsibility for dropping the bombs?

Truman: To be honest, I wish that Roosevelt had taken responsibility for the bombings.  I didn't think he was going to die.  I wanted Roosevelt to take final responsibility for the war, to its end.  He only had to hold out a little longer.  If Roosevelt had just lived four more months . .
.

I think that the politicians should absolutely pay tribute to Japan's fallen soldiers.  It is the proper thing to do.  The nationality of those men shouldn't matter.  Those we fought against in World War II did not fight for their own self-interests.  They lost while trying to protect their country, so it is the proper thing for later generations to pay their respects for them.

When I look back on the military history of the world objectively, I feel strongly that the Japanese military in World War II was truly admirable.  So, I'm sorry.

[Suddenly begins to cry.]  I believe that the people of this tiny island nation without any natural resources fought very bravely.  I'm so sorry.  I feel so sorry for them
.

And even though their supplies of oil, coal, and iron ore had been cut off, Japan kept fighting.  They were forced into an extremely difficult situation.  I truly believe that they fought bravely under these severe conditions.

The Japanese military men should be forgiven.  I truly think that they did their very best.  They were placed in an incredibly tough situation.  It was really terrible.

I must reflect and repent deeply on what I have done.  I sincerely apologize.

Since the current [U.S.] president will probably not be able to give you an apology, I would like to apologize as the president who dropped the atomic bombs on Japan.  If I had been in Tojo's place, I think that I would also have decided to declare war.  I'm sure I would have.  Ah! I'm so sorry for what I've done
.

Franklin D. Roosevelt (June 3, 2013)

Q: There were no aircraft carriers there on the day Pearl Harbor was attacked, so there is a theory that you had already cracked the code and knew what the Japanese were planning before the attack.

Roosevelt: As a president, it is very difficult for me to state that officially. If I officially say that —

Q: We really want to know the truth.

Roosevelt: Huh?  Hmm . . . In terms of anticipating the start of war, we did predict two years before that point that Japan would attack Pearl Harbor.  Actually, it was more than two years before that.  We had completed our simulations twenty years before the United States went to war with Japan.

Q: Still, the day the attack happened, all you had in Pearl Harbor were old battleships like the USS Arizona.  Why were none of the new aircraft carriers present?

Roosevelt: Well, I can't answer that question.   But the USS Arizona sank with more than one thousand people on board.  We had nearly three thousand deaths and casualties as a result of that attack, just about the same number of people who died in the World Trade Center attack.  As president, I can't say that I let them die knowing that —

Q: Even if it's the truth?

Roosevelt: Mm-hmm
.

Q: You said earlier that you wanted to make history.

Roosevelt: Yes, that's right.  To be frank, I laid the foundations for what's happened in the seventy years since World War II.  World history was created within my brain.

Q: At the onset of Word War II, Japan and the United States had become two world powers and seemed destined to meet each other in a decisive battle.

Roosevelt: That's right.  Germany was also a world power.  The Germans were strong.  World War II was a hegemonic war between us and these two nations, Japan and Germany
.

Japan also recovered from an economic downturn by joining the Korean War, so the Japanese people knew how a war boom can revive an economy.  The United States has also fought in various wars since World War II.  What I am trying to say is that when countries go into recession, they go to war [to recover the economy], and this has happened repeatedly in history.  So I think that everybody back then was also fully aware of what it meant.

We thought that Japan would surrender if we made them aware of the possibility that the bomb could then be dropped on Tokyo, where the emperor resided.

Q: Mr. Truman told us earlier that you wanted to test out the two different types of atomic bombs that you had completed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Roosevelt: That's something that you should never say in diplomacy.  He should have never said that.

Q: Maybe so, but it would be for your own good to tell us the truth, now that you've passed away.

Roosevelt: We should never say that, for diplomatic reasons
.

Q: . . . you used the Hull note to provoke Japan to attack the United States.

Roosevelt: Sure, you can look at it that way.  But I think it's also true that Japan underestimated the United States
.

I mean, we both used propaganda, but if the Japanese government had told the citizens that their enemy was strong, I'm sure things would have turned out differently.

I understand that you still harbor a grudge against us.  But we've also gone through a lot — the antiwar movement, damage sustained from various wars, and public weariness of war.  We are now reaping what we sowed, as in the "law of karma" that you speak of.  We are beginning to see things more clearly.

Today, Obama is very hesitant about military intervention.  That shows how its consequences have been.  Now, America faces the question of whether it serves justice to take such a soft stance.  The United States is confronted with the issue of whether it is right or wrong to neglect the rise of a nation with hegemonic ambitions.  Other countries are asking Americans to consider whether it is good enough to simply tell other countries to protect themselves on their own
.

I am the god of the United States of America.

Q: What about Mr. Truman?

Roosevelt: I think he is in a lower world right now
.

Q: Do you ever talk to George Washington or Abraham Lincoln?

Roosevelt: . . . Well I guess they are also considered gods
.

Q: So who is in a higher world?

Roosevelt: I am
.

I'm watching over the entire country of the United States of America.  I am like an emperor.

Q: Do you sense any angry vibrations coming from Japan?

Roosevelt: I am sure they are sending them.  But I think the people "below the clouds" intercept them.

Q: So you don't receive these vibrations?

Roosevelt: There's no way they can reach me
.

Like I said, I'm the greatest god.

Q: Then who comes after you?

Roosevelt: Well, people like Napoleon Bonaparte and Julius Caesar
.

The Guardian Spirit of Ryuho Okawa (July 12, 2013)

Therefore we can say that the current constitution has a flaw in it, that it does not outline the religious and philosophical basis for the "sovereignty of the people."

The constitution does not set down the responsibility of the media for failing to report something either.

. . . the mass media should indicate the basis for their judgments of good and bad, be it philosophy, morality or religion upon which their judgments are based.

. . . the United Nations has been directing the post war world regime and all the permanent members of the Security Council arm themselves with nuclear weapons.  They need to discuss seriously whether or not this goes against pacifism.  If they insist that this doesn't go against pacifism, then we cannot say that the appeals for non-proliferation are contributing to promoting world peace.

China already possesses various nuclear weapons and other weapons of aggression, and is still continuing to develop them.  But renouncing such weapons would certainly ensure peace for them.  As long as they possess these weapons, there is a higher possibility of China being attacked by other countries.  Therefore, not having them would be more conducive to peace.

The same is true for North Korea.  If such a small country develops nuclear missiles, obviously there will be more possibility of larger countries imposing sanctions on it, so for North Korea, it would be more conducive to peace not to have nuclear missiles.  In this case, it is quite responsible to say that getting rid of these nuclear weapons will bring peace.

If, in the end, democracy has the power to make people shine in the best possible way, it is possible to evaluate it positively.  However, if democracy is a system that ends up making people corrupt and pushing them into the devil's camp, moral guidance is needed.  Those who can give this moral guidance are the religions and the people who have a religious disposition.

Q: . . . we would appreciate it if you could tell us who exactly you, the guardian spirit of Master Ryuho Okawa, are.

Guardian Spirit: . . . Only one person could teach this Truth in the past.  He was called "the Light of Asia," and I believe all Happy Science believers should know who that is.

The first wheel of Dharma had already started to turn, then the next wheel started turning, then the next, and many wheels are turning.  To spread this Truth all over the world, I desire that every disciple becomes an Angel of Light, emitting light and further building up his or her efforts.

Bruce Lee (August 13, 2017)

Q: Where were you right after you died?

Bruce Lee: I'm fighting.

Q: You are fighting?

Bruce Lee: Still fighting.

Q: Where do you live now?

Bruce Lee: Here.

Q: Who are you fighting?

Bruce Lee: Enemy.

Q: Who is your enemy?

Bruce Lee: Devils. Devils, devils.  Worldwide devils.  Bad people of the world.

Q: Bad people?  For example?

Bruce Lee: Hmm?  Mafia, gang, American racists, or Chinese evil politicians, like that.

Q: Why did you come to our Master?

Bruce Lee: Your Master?

I came here to fight with him.  Ha!  Grand master champion.

Q: Do you understand that you are a spirit?

Yeah.  I'm a spirit and I have a body.

My spirit is my body.  My body is my spirit.  You know?

My spirit is beautiful.  My body is beautiful.  Beauty . . . is myself.

Q: Who are you?  What are you?

Bruce Lee: What?  Hmm?  Are you OK?  Are you OK?

[Remains standing and extends right fist.]   This fist is the Truth!  You know?

Q: Umm . . . [Laughs.]  Could you explain it in words please?

Bruce Lee: [Waves right hand to express denial.]

Q: No?

Bruce Lee: There is no word.

Q: There is no word?

Bruce Lee: The Truth is . . . empty.

Q: Empty?

Bruce Lee: Hmm.  Emptiness is the Truth.  Vacancy is very important.  Never think anything.  Be empty!

Q: You said in the film, "Enter the Dragon," or "Moeyo Doragon," "Don't think, feel."  Is that the same meaning?

Bruce Lee: Ah, don't fear.  Don't think about fear!  Oh, yeah, it's a great enemy.  Fear!

Q: No, no, no, I . . .

Bruce Lee: Fear!  Fear is the entity of the devil!

Taoism is the Truth.  It's the Truth.  [While drawing a big imaginary wave with both hands.]  Our life is like the wave, so sometimes we are in the bottom of the wave and sometimes we are in the upmost point of the wave.  Devils usually attack us when we are at the top of the wave.  Also, devils attack us when we are in the depths of the wave, but at the same time, angels come to save us.   So, at the top of the wave and the bottom of the wave, these two points have the truth, in this wavelength, as you know.

Q: Do you believe in God?

Bruce Lee: Oh, of course, of course!  I believe in God and I'm God, too.  [Facing interviewer.]  You!  Of course, you can find gods or goddesses.  We are gods or goddesses.  Or, sons or daughters of God or Buddha.

. . . the Chinese people need some kind of symbol.

So, I am Paul.  Paul of Christianity-like existence.  I mean, I am Paul of kung fu because I spread the beautiful side and the strong side of kung fu.  It’s a pride of the Chinese spirit, so I spread this kind of Chinese spirit all over the world.

Q: . . . Do you know what your past life is?

Bruce Lee: Past life, hmm . . . [Picks up and looks at the Enter the Dragon Blu-ray disc case]  Dragon [smiles toward the camera as he shows the case].

Q: Do you mean in this world or in another world?

Bruce Lee: Huh?  In every time . . . I was a dragon, I mean a hero.

Q: How did you die?

Bruce Lee: [Sighs deeply.]  I had an accident in my back in my twenties and I did too much in my movies, so it must have been the direct reason of my young death.

Another reason is, I had enemies which could not be seen through my human eyes.  I sometimes said devils.  Devils were attacking me.  Devils don't like heroes.  A hero is sometimes the assistant of God, so heroes are targeted by devils.  It's like Ryoma Sakamoto, who died too young.  [Ryoma Sakamoto was assassinated in 1867.]  He died too young, the same age as when I died.  We are on the verge of losing our lives, every year, every age, and every period.

Q: Where do you live?  Where are you?  Now, another world, in Heaven?

Bruce Lee: My living room is very small, so I don't know correctly.  Your living room is very huge.  But I'm a friend of Ryoma Sakamoto, you know?  That's enough explanation for you.

Q: Same dimension?

Bruce Lee: Ah, no, no.  Sometimes, we are friends.

Q: Friends?  Do you know other friends?

Bruce Lee: [Points to Ryoma as if he is behind Bruce Lee.]  A destroyer of the Edo period.

Q: A destroyer, yeah, yeah.

Bruce Lee: I'm a destroyer of the Chinese age of slavery.

Q: . . . Could you give a message to the people of China and the world?

Bruce Lee: Learn kung fu and study Happy Science.

Stephen Hawking (April 4, 2018)

Q: You were unable o talk with your own mouth while you were alive, but right now you're actually talking directly through the body you are in.

Dr. Hawking: Am I dreaming or am I a zombie?  I'm not sure.  I'm not a medical doctor, so I'm not sure.  Is he [pointing at his chest] the famous Frankenstein or something like that?

Q: Did you meet someone during the two or three weeks after your death?

Dr. Hawking: Someone?

No, no one. I have been in a black hole.

Q: Why didn't you perish?

Dr. Hawking: Maybe I'm a noble spirit.  Divine existence.  That's the reason.

I don't believe in God because I'm the existence of more-than-God.  When I studied and educated the people of the world, people who are more intelligent than you, I was God.

Q: By "more-than-God," do you mean that you think there's God?

Dr. Hawking: I mean God is the perfect AI (artificial intelligence).  And I'm more than that.

In the Bible, God created a man and the man looked like God — it's written like that.  But I needed a wheelchair and I needed a machine to send my messages to the world.  If God made me, I cannot accept the reason why my physical actions were heavily destroyed, or my perception . . . I hate God.  You might think and believe that you are like gods or God, but I cannot believe in that kind of God.

Q: You were married, and you had three children.  So, you had happy times in life.  I think you were loved by God very much.

Dr. Hawking: You underdeveloped person.  I don't need you.  You must enter an English elementary school, and study English and basic science.

No one can see God.

"To believe" is not "to do science."

Q: When you were alive you said something like, "I feel we are under threat of aliens.  We shouldn't fight these things."

Dr. Hawking: Of course.  Of course.  Of course.

Q: Right?  Then, doesn't that mean you believed in aliens, which you couldn't see?

Dr. Hawking: No, no, no, no.  I cannot believe in them.  If there were aliens, we would already be conquered.

[Flips through Alien Invasion (book).]  You talked with aliens?  Minor Centaurian?  Minor Centaurian.  Hmm . . . Is it me?

Q: Yes.  That's your guardian spirit.

Dr. Hawking: Me?  Oh, no, no, no, no.

Q: We were surprised.

Dr. Hawking: A picture book.  You are believers, so of course it's OK.  There are a lot of believers, but I'm a scientist.

Q: If you say, "El Cantare" many times you might remember who you really are, little by little.

Dr. Hawking: El Cantare.

Q: Say "El Cantare" several times.

Dr. Hawking: I just feel El Cantare has some concept about the structure of the universe and the reincarnation of the universe.  And he has a key to open the secrets of time, space, universe and the history of space people.  It's just my intuition.  There come such kind of inspirations, but I don't know about El Cantare.  Nothing.  I know nothing about him.

Q: Are you happy?

Dr. Hawking: I'm happy, I'm happy.  I have freedom of activity now.  I'm happy because of my good deeds regarding scientific activities.  So, I must be . . . If you want to seek someone who resembles me, I'm Job of the Old Testament.

I'm in a dark world, but some kind of light, a great light is coming toward me, I feel so.  Is this the light of a savior or not, I'm not sure.  I'm not sure, but some great light is coming and wants to contact me.  I don't have the words especially to illustrate this meaning or . . . [Looks up to the ceiling.]  Oh, God!  Devil!  Earth!  Brain!  Truth!  Oh, good-bye.

[asked to give a message, especially for the future scientists]  A message?  Ah, within 1,000 years, the future humankind will perish.  If you don't want such kind of future, please escape from Earth to another planet.  Exodus, new exodus is essential for you.  You will get 10 billion people, so at that time, you will kill each other through a lot of wars.  If the existence of aliens is true, you will be perished by them.  So, please search for another world, I mean another planet where you can live on.  I predict that you can live in this world for at least 1,000 years more.  So rocket science and UFO science are essential for the scientists of today.
